Pam Dixon is Back

Following a 10 year absence we are delighted to be able to become reacquainted with the work of this very talented painter and sculptor. The exuberance and wild abandonment of these paintings reflect the character of their maker. Pam draws from her family and relationships along with personal mythology. The paintings reflect grand sweeping gestures and bold figures often with sexual innuendos. The figures are often distorted in curious ways with animals and objects placed or floating in the landscape. Pam is a master colorist which she uses to full advantage. She is equally at home working on paper or canvas. A quote by the painter Larry Rivers is appropriate here: “Once more with passion.”
